IRB Crew Course

The IRB Crew course provides participants with the skills and knowledge required to effectively crew an Inflatable Rescue Boat (IRB) during surf rescue operations.

Course Requirements

To undertake this course, candidates must:

Be at least 15 years of age on the date of final assessment
Hold and be currently proficient in the Bronze Medallion

Course Outcome

Upon successful completion, participants will be equipped with the skills to crew an IRB as part of surf lifesaving operations.

Participants will also receive the following nationally recognised unit of competency:

PUASAR015A – Crew small powercraft in a rescue operation
